PARK RIDGE — The Park Ridge Fine Arts Society will host its 52nd Annual Symphony Benefit on Saturday at the Park Ridge Country Club, 636 N. Prospect Ave.
The gala, which is black tie optional, begins with a 6 p.m. reception followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. and dancing to the music of Brian Patti and his orchestra.
Tickets are $100 each, available by contacting Society Board Member Dawn Himley-Grandi at grimly@mac.com.
The benefit raises money to continue the Fine Arts Society’s free summer concert series in Hodges Park. This year the organization is especially in need of financial support due to dwindling donations, loss of funding from local and state governmental agencies, rising costs and other economic factors, according to the Fine Arts Society Board.
Musician and sound-system fees alone add up to approximately $10,000 per concert, said Society President Dennis Van Mieghem.
