Little snow has fallen so far this winter, but that didn’t prevent a group of children from making snowmen last weekend.

With temperatures outside nearly 50 degrees, children on Jan. 7 made snowmen that will never melt during a special “Frosty Workshop” at the Brickton Art Center in Park Ridge.

Each child made a Frosty the Snowman out of clay, which was later fired so the ceramic piece could be painted.

Other upcoming Saturday workshops at Brickton include a portrait workshop on Jan. 14 and two Valentine’s Day craft classes on Feb. 4.
