A group of Park Ridge children took advantage of the recently fallen snow to build several snowmen and even a spotted snow dog outside a home at 1710 Marlowe Ave in Park Ridge.

Jessica and Brad Altman, and neighbors Kara, Katie and Kelly Wolinski built the snow figures, complete with hats, sunglasses and a collar for the dog, on their day off from school Jan. 16.

With temperatures heading back up into the 40s and last week’s snowfall melting away, the children hurried to build their snow family after a morning of sledding, said mother Cindy Altman, who submitted a photo of the artists and their creations.
