Park Ridge city clerk earns national certification

Cheryl L. Peterson, deputy city clerk of the city of Park Ridge, has earned the designation of certified municipal clerk from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), Inc.

IIMC grants certified municipal clerk designation only to municipal clerks who complete specific education requirements and who have a record of contributions to their local government, community and state.

The International Institute of Municipal Clerks, founded in 1947, has 10,300 members across the United States, Canada and 15 other countries.

The mission of the nonprofit corporation is to enhance the education opportunities and professional development of its membership.
