The flag of Norway was waved across Uptown Park Ridge as the community was again the site of the annual Norwegian Constitution Day Parade.

The parade, presented by the Norwegian National League, took place May 20 and featured local residents of Norwegian descent, as well as Norwegian organizations and clubs.

Also appearing was the Norwegian Ambassador to the United States, Wegger Christian Strømmen and his wife, the Rev. Dr. Cecilie Strømmen.

The parade’s grand marshal was Richard Fjeldheim.

Hodges Park in Uptown also served as the location for children’s activities and entertainment, including singers Kyle Elsbernd & Dave Kirkeby.
