The Park Ridge VFW Post 3579 performed a 21-gun salute for both the Resurrection Retirement Home and the Park Ridge Memorial Day Parade in Park Ridge.

Gov. Pat Quinn marched in the parade and posed for pictures with Chaplain Steve Weber, who gave the benediction, and VFW trustee Ed Petray and American Airlines Pilot Kenny Petray, his son, and Walt Kuhn, reportedly the post’s oldest VFW member to march in the parade.
