Police are looking for a man who tried to grab a 14-year-old girl as she walked in Chicago’s Edison Park community on Tuesday.

The suspect is described as a white man with a medium complexion, between 5-feet-8 and 5-feet-10 and weighing between 120 and 150 pounds, according to a police alert. He has brown hair, though its length is not known, and he was wearing a colored T-shirt with words on it and jeans.

The girl was walking south on Harlem Avenue near Fitch Avenue between 1:25 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. Tuesday when the man grabbed her arm, according to police. He asked her to come with him, but she pushed his arm away and ran.

Anyone with information about this suspect should call Area North detectives at (312) 744-8200.
