Updated: October 24, 2012 10:06PM

A suspicious fire damaged a church early Sunday in Chicago’s Norwood Park community.

The fire was reported about 1:50 a.m. in a building that housed a Metra train waiting area and a church in the 6800 block of North Northwest Highway, Chicago police officer Veejay Zala said.

No one was injured but there was smoke and water damage, Zala said.

The fire was contained to a rest room, Zala said. The fire damaged a church that was attached to the Union Pacific/Northwest Line’s Norwood Park depot, Metra spokesman Tom Miller said.

The police Bomb and Arson Unit is investigating.
