Center of Concern executive director John McNabola stated that the 20th Century Club of Park Ridge has provided invaluable support to the Center’s elderly and homebound clients.
“The 20th Century Club provides dozens of homemade baked goods and assembles large Thanksgiving baskets primarily for our senior support clients,” he said.
Sally Loeffler, 20th Century Club president, accepted the award from McNabola at the Center’s annual holiday party at the South Park Recreation Center on Dec. 8.
At the same event the Center was honored to accept a check for $7,000 from several women who serve on the board of its Auxiliary. The $7,000 represents proceeds from several events held by the Auxiliary, including a recent holiday boutique, payroll raffle and Bunko party.
Among those attending the Dec. 8 holiday party were Frank Kaminski, Park Ridge chief of police; Carol Teschky, Maine Township supervisor; and Thomas Bernick, 6th Ward alderman of Park Ridge.
