Many couples boast about his-and-her sinks; avid golfers Jason and Rene Collins have his-and-her holes-in-one.

The Park Ridge couple aced No. 5 (Jason) and No. 17 (Rene), in the same round of the husband-wife tournament at the Park Ridge Country Club on June 3.

Married for seven years, the couple has taken numerous vacations to golf destinations; needless to say, this trumps them all.

“We have a lot of great memories of golf around North America and the world,” Jason said. “But this is certainly, from a golf perspective, a moment that you’ll never be able to forget.”

While Jason’s hole-in-one came on what he calls the toughest par-3 on the course, it’s Rene that may have achieved legendary status at the small club.

Aiming to match her husband, Rene called her shot as she approached the tee box on No. 17. Well, sort of.

“It was the last par-3 of the course so I jokingly said ‘Ok, this is my last chance to one-up my husband.’ Of course I didn’t think it would actually happen,” Rene said.
