The Maine South Hawks fell to Wheaton Warrenville South on Friday, September 6. According to High School Cube News:

Up 7-0 at the half, the Tigers scored on their first series of the third quarter and never looked back

THE SKINNY: After beating Glenbard West to start the season, the Tigers added their second signature win Friday in Park Ridge with their victory against the Hawks. Up 7-0 at the half, Wheaton Warrenville South scored on its first series of the third quarter on senior Zack Moberg's 37-yard run and never looked back.

TURNING POINT: Wheaton Warrenville South scored two touchdowns in less than two minutes early in the fourth quarter. The first was on a 1-yard run by senior Isaiah Campos following an 11-play drive. The Tigers then stopped the Hawks on three downs, and senior Ryan Graham delivered the knockout blow with his 53-yard scoring strike to junior Keishawn Watson.
